OLYMPIA FIGURE SKATING CLUB

Leanne has been coaching with Olympia FSC since the club was founded in 2000. She has been nominated for the British Ice Teachers Association's Young Coach of the Year Award on several occasions after producing many talented skaters who have achieved at the highest levels of skating.

 

She is currently working towards her Level 4 coaching qaulification and hopes her skaters will continue to excel and be selected for prestigious events such as the Youth Olympics, World Junior and Senior International ISU events.

 

Below is information on Leanne's qualifications and achievements since beginning to coach with Olympia FSC:

-Level 3 National Ice Skating Association Qualified Senior Performance Coach.

-NCCP Levels 1,2 & 3 with Distinction.

-First Aid and Child Protection qaulified.

-Diploma in Sports Thearpy.

-17 Years of Coaching Experience.

 

-Has produced:

2 British Novice Ladies Champions - 2008 & 2010.

British Junior Ladies Silver Medallist - 2010.

British Junior Ladies Bronze Medallist - 2013.

British Senior Mens Silver Medallist - 2013.

Scottish Novice Ladies Champions - 2008 & 2010.

Scottish Junior Ladies Champion - 2010.

Scottish Junior Mens Champion - 2013.

ISU International Silver Medallist - Tirnavia Cup 2010.

Many skaters that have been selected to represent Great Britain at International Events across Europe.

At present has 7 skaters that are on the G.B Development Squad.

Skaters that were selected to skate for Scotland in the NISA Cup event every year the event was organised. 

 

Coaches the current Scottish Junior Mens Champion and British Senior Mens Silver Medallist - Lewis Gibson.

Also coaches the current British Junior Ladies Bronze medallist who, at age 14 is the no.4 ranked Under 19's Lady in the U.K at present - Ana Vaipen-Law.

 

-Nominated for Young Coach of the Year. 

- Won The Joyce Taylor Award for Services to Coaching 2016.

 

-Attended Seminars with World and Olympic Coaches as well as NISA Performance Squad Camps and Coaches Conventions.

 

-Coaches all levels from Skate UK to Elite.
